A Wet Wintry Sunday

Hello,

It`s really wet and horrible today. After my saying how nice it was yesterday I suppose it makes sense that it would rain just afterwards. The only problem is wet weather sets off my arthritis and last night my wrist was so painful I took tablets before going to bed or I knew I wouldn`t get any sleep. At the moment I`m wearing a support though I absolutely hate it. It feels so uncomfortable but I`m not taking any chances. Also my back went yesterday evening as I bent down to put something in the cupboard....sigh. I think I`m falling apart at the moment and will have to start taking Jake`s pills, they seem to work for him though I might end up with a black, wet, shiny nose...lol!

Talking of Jake, Jim took him for a long walk in the woods this morning despite the rain and he came back soaking wet but so happy. Why is it that dogs love their walks despite the weather? It can be freezing cold, boiling hot and still they want to go out. At least that is the case with our Jake. he certainly doesn`t take our feelings into account when it comes to the great outdoors...lol! He has slept all morning and by the look of him now he`s ready to go again ...hmm, well sorry Jake but you will have to wait until tomorrow. This dog owner is allergic to rain and doesn`t want to go outside the door today!

At the moment I`m unable to add any graphics to my entry. No idea why of course but it just won`t open for me. Never mind, it can`t be helped but I`ll keep trying just in case then I can delete these few sentences. It`s so quiet at the moment, the second day of `me` time. Jim is at work but should be home by 8.30 with luck. He does stay on for overtime if it`s offered but I`m not sure he`ll want to in this weather as ghe works outside. Sometimes in Winter while refuelling he keeps dry by sheltering under the wing of a plane and gets warm from the heat of the jet engines. His own bit of outdoor central heating, along with many layers of clothing just to be on the safe side.

There`s not much else to say but thanks for reading my blog. I hope you all have a nice Sunday. Bye Bye and take care. :o)

Love Sandra

  3. It has been absolutely dreadful here today as well, nonstop rain. Now it is not even five and dark already, we dread the electricity bills as now there is no choice but to have the lights on. Yes, our dogs love going out whatever the weather. It is poor Mike that has to suffer lol. Sorry to hear about your arthritis, feel better soon.

  4. I hope your back and wrist soon gets better. Our dogs don't like to go out in the rain. Of course if they have to they can go out through their doggie door. It's a pretty sunsniny day here today and yesterday also. A little cool but beautiful. Have a good evening. Hugs, Helen

Sorry to hear your wrist and back are bothering you hon. I've had to wear my braces for the carpel tunnel a bit over the last few days, so I understand.(Hugs)Indigo

  13. Hi Sandra, Hope the weather is better there today. Here in Yorkshire it is beautifully sunny but very cold. That's what I cannot cope with here in England, this very changeable weather. You never know what to wear, you cannot plan any day out, unless you are prepared to deal with the rain of course. I've got some aches and pains as well. I usually blame the weather as well!!! Hope yours get better. Have a nice day. Ciao. Antonella

  16. We had 2 days of cold, breezy weather. No rain. I hope it stays away. My cock a poo will go out im any weather but our long hair chihuahua HATES inclimate weather. He will do anything to keep from having to go outdoors when it's raining or snowing. We have a covered patio, so if he can't get away with a potty in the house) which he was never properly trained & we got him past the age of proper training, he will go out on the patio, but always stays under the overhang to do his business.
My hands & esp. my feet are my weather barometer. As your "about me* says, I feel like a young woman in a 54 yr old body. One not too good of shape either. I sure hope you have a brighter. warmer week ahead.
    Luv n Hugs, Barb

  18. For shame, it's Wednesday and I'm only just reading this! Another good read, as ever. Ever so cold here too but no snow so far. Had a few frosty mornings though and Keith is frantically trying to set the garden right before we get whatever passes for winter this year!
    love, Angie, xx
